5 Blog Post Topics

We know better than anyone how amazing writing blog posts can be for your brand's SEO and overall reputation online BUT we also know that it can be really hard to pull ideas out of thin air. So, next time you're struggling with topic ideas we invite you to try one of these 5 topics that convert to conversations, customers and new fans!
1. Revisited Brand Introduction
It's never a bad idea to reintroduce yourself online! If you're doing all the right things on social media then it's likely you'll have upwards of 100 new followers every month who don't know you or your business all that well! Re-introducing your team and brand is an easy way to build trust and connection quickly with a large amount of people!
Try these formats:
  • 10 things about us
  • Meet the team
  • 5 things you didn't know about [brand name]
  • 3 reasons we'd be friends in real life
2. Answer A Question
Create a list of your top 10 most asked questions related to your business, the services/products/ and start writing responses! People are nosey and love to understand why things are the way they are. So if you give people answers, they are more likely to come back for more!
Haven't got any questions? Start with these:
  • What is your most popular product/service?
  • Why did you start your business?
  • Who are your products/services made for?
  • How do I contact you?
3. Staff Picks
This can be a really fun ay to bring your entire team together for a blog post! Sit down as a group (or on your own if you're a one-man-band) and write a list of your current favourite 'things'. By giving people an insight into your personal likes/dislikes you'll gain trust and you may even spark some conversations between potential customers or clients.
Try these 'things':
  • Podcasts
  • Movies
  • Books
  • Social media accounts
  • Website
  • Coffee shop
  • Bar
  • Restaurant
  • Netflix show
4. Feature A Product/Service
Whilst it's great to let people into the lives of the team behind the business, it's as beneficial to give them an insight into products/services. Is there a feature of the product that people don't know about, fun facts or even the reason behind its conception? This is the time to take a deep dive into the backstory and future ideas for the product.
Think of:
  • Why people use the product/service
  • Special features people are unaware of
  • Mention any publications the product/service has featured in
  • Reviews you've received of the product/service
5. Showcase Fan Made Content
What better way to show appreciation to customers than to give them a public shoutout! Think of all the times you've received messages, feedback or even seen a photo of a fan with your product that made you go 'Wow, I'm so grateful I run this business!'....that's enough to put into a blog post. People will continue to support you and your brand if they receive recognition and are shown appreciation for their being there.
Try this format:
  1. Introduce the fan
  2. Share your appreciation for their kind words/feedback etc.
  3. Showcase their exact feedback
  4. Thank them for their support
  5. Offer an incentive for others who may support the brand by providing feedback (discount code, free shipping, shout-out on social media etc.)
